Vieques is a small island about 4 miles by 20 miles just off the east coast of Puerto Rico with a population of about 10,000.

Since Vieques is a territory of the United States, US citizens need no passport to visit and the American dollar will buy what you need.

Two main cities on Vieques, Isabel II and Esperanza, host many lovely restaurants, museums, and shops along with supermarkets, a bank with ATM, a US Post Office and many local shops and colmados (small mini markets). Also visit the many businesses outside the city limits, but watch out for the wild horses that roam the island!

The climate on Vieques is perfect year round with 85-90 degree temperatures during the summer months and 80-85 degree temperatures in winter. Cool nights at 70-75 degrees provide peaceful sleeping conditions.

"Must sees" on Vieques include the magnificent beaches and Bioluminescent Bays. Take a walk along the Esperanza malecon. Dine at the many unique restaurants or cook meals in your room's private kitchen. Enjoy Vieques' night life where friendly locals serve up an excellent margarita and steel drum bands play.
